One in three teachers experiences mental health problems like anxiety or depression at some point in their working life. Pupils benefit from support programmes such as peer mentoring through the ‘Healthy Schools’ and ‘Every Child Matters’ initiatives but teachers and teaching assistants also need support.
Jane Hicks & Associates has launched the new ‘Teachers Matter Too’ service using proven psychometric assessment tools to reduce stress and maximise interpersonal effectiveness. The Temple Index of Functional Fluency (TIFF) provides a unique personal profile enabling you to learn to balance your energy effectively in relating to others, developing positive behaviour patterns and transforming those that are counter-productive.
How you will benefit
- Learn to reduce stress by rebalancing your energy output
- Learn to care without becoming worn out
- Learn to use your authority for the benefit of all
- Learn how to get along better with others at work and play
- Learn how to enjoy being an individual in your own right.
What does the process involve?
- Completing the 30-minute TIFF questionnaire online or on paper
- Either a group workshop to learn about the functional fluency model (3 hours) followed by an individual one-hour feedback session to explore the client's own profile. Or a combined individual session to learn the functional fluency model and explore a client's own profile (1½ hours)
- A follow-up meeting to reflect on the client's profile (1 hour).
